Miss Ellen

“Miss” Ellen is the Co-Director & Co-Owner,  and a lead instructor at Dance Expression Dance Arts , where she has trained dancers across all levels and genres for over 20 years.

She began her training at DEDA at the age of 7, where her passion for dance was first inspired by “Miss” Lisa Schumann, “Miss” Virginia Kennedy, and “Miss” Denise Kay. Ellen continued her dance education at County College of Morris, earned an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts from Sussex County Community College, and further studied dance at Montclair State University.

Ellen is dedicated to fostering a lifelong love of dance and dance education in a positive, structured, and encouraging environment where students are empowered to build confidence, discipline, and personal pride in their accomplishments. Her choreography has received numerous accolades at both regional and national competitions.

She believes strongly in nurturing both technical excellence and artistic expression while supporting the growth and development of every student at DEDA.
